Payment is required prior to any work being performed. Payment for work is accepted via Personal / Company check, PayPal, Visa / Mastercard, Money Order, and Bank Wire Transfer. Do not send payment along with the wheels. We will ask for payment once the wheels arrive. We will send you an invoice via your provided email address. Please make sure this is an email address that you check regularly.
** Local customers can drop off and pick up to save freight costs. Los Angeles sales tax is 9.5%. No sales tax if shipped outside of California. All prices estimates are in US Dollars. All out of country orders Bank Wire Transfer is the method of payment. In review, once we have received payment the processing of your wheels or parts begins. If for some reason you have not heard from us requesting payment for processing after your parts have arrived, please double-check that we have received your payment.

We make use of an environmentally friendly non-intrusive in-house wheel preparation process. Assures the original design is crisp and defined. We never sandblast.
Fusion Powder Coating™ is an advancement in powder coating technology. This new proprietary process is a combination of Eco-friendly clean pretreatment, enhanced application methods, and Pulse Power technology. Being in the Chrome Plating business has taught us that wheel finishing is more than just a process it is an art form. Various methods and special techniques are required to produce a finish that resembles jewelry. Traditional powder coating is more of an industrial protective coating than a decorative finish.
At CalChrome, we recognize that Chrome Wheels are not appropriate for every application. Many customers have requested a deep and highly reflective luxury finish, which is neither Chrome, or Black Chrome. Fusion powder coating is our answer to that request. It has more depth and gloss than a typical power coat while maintaining the durability, corrosion protection and ease of cleaning.

TECHNOLOGY
CALCHROME
Pro: Availability to quickly change colors due to multiple fluidizing hoppers. Resulting in faster processing times. Also eliminates cross contamination as no two colors are ever mixed in the same container.

Con: Box feeder unit which as shown above does not fluidize the powder which can result in uneven levels of application. Difficult to change colors as it requires removal of suction tube to be thoroughly cleaned prior to installing into next color. DIRTY!

Pro: State of the art new for 2014 Government required low nox emitting numerically controlled 800,000 BTU oven. Insures consistent bake and cure parameters.

Con: Traditional blast oven, non-compliant.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Pro: Being a professional wheel finisher extra detail shown to mask off back pad to ensure exact fitment.

Con: No masking, will not fit back on to the vehicle without complications due to the build up of the coating.
PULSE POWER TECHNOLOGY
CALCHROME
Pro: Pulse power technology insures even coverage in deep recessed areas. Wheel designs often require this extra detail. Eliminating Faraday cage effect.

Con: Excessive 'Orange Peel' resulting in an inconsistent textured finish. This is due to buildup on flat surfaces trying to get powder in to the deep recessed areas.
FIXTURES AND HANGING METHODS
CALCHROME
Pro: Wheel specific mounting fixtures ensure complete coating encapsulation of the entire wheel.

Con: Generic wire hanging method which creates a seem around the barrel. Which can peel and corrode.
WHEEL PREPARATION
CALCHROME
Pro: Environmentally friendly non-intrusive in-house wheel preparation which maintains all sharp edges and definition of the original design. We NEVER sand blast.

Con: Insufficient wheel preparation (sand blast) which did not remove damage on face, still noticeable through the finish and leaves rounded off edges and excessive orange peel.
